When vacationing in Singapore, besides traveling with my family, I have a mandatory ritual: hunting for Favorite Coffee Shops in Singapore. It feels incomplete if I haven’t sat down nicely while drinking coffee, whether it’s to take a break after wandering around the city or just to try out the vibes of a local cafe.
What makes it fun is that my favorite coffee spots in Singapore usually don’t just sell coffee. They also have toast, fries, pastries, and even cakes that make you want to linger for a long time. So, besides drinking coffee, you can also snack.
Well, here are some of my favorite coffee spots that I’ve visited. It’s great because most of them are still around today. Ready? Let’s get started ☕✨
1. Arabica Coffee – Arab Street
Yes, Arabica is actually also in Jakarta, but it feels different when you stop by the branch on Arab Street. The location happens to be very close to the hotel where I’m staying (Village Hotel Bugis), so it’s perfect for stopping by in the afternoon after a walk.
Arab Street is super busy during the holidays! Especially in the afternoon, the vibe is lively with rows of cafes and restaurants packed with visitors. Arabica is one of my favorite places to recharge before continuing my walk. I enjoyed it so much that I stopped by twice during this trip.
2. All Things Delicious – Sarapan Seru di Arab Street
Still in the Arab Street area, there is this adorable cafe: All Things Delicious. I deliberately skipped breakfast at the hotel because I wanted to try the menu here. And it turned out to be worth it!
They open early in the morning, so it’s perfect for breakfast. The breakfast menu is varied, the portions are just right, and the café’s atmosphere makes the morning more exciting. The location is also right next to Arabica Coffee, so if you’re hanging out in Arab Street, you can easily stop by.
3. Chye Seng Huat Hardware (CSHH) – Lavender
Well, this one is legendary in my heart. The name is a bit difficult to pronounce, so I often call it CSHH Lavender. The last time I was here was in 2019 before the pandemic, and I still miss it to this day.
The coffee? It’s the best. Plus, the selection of cakes always makes me happy. I found this place thanks to a recommendation from my favorite food blogger, Hans Danials (@eatandtreats), who is an expert on food and coffee when traveling.
The location is very easy to find: get off at Lavender MRT, walk a little towards Tyrwhitt Road, and voilà—CSHH is at the end of the road, ready to welcome you.
